Mike Christie is an Emmy-nominated director whose documentary work spans music, art, culture and performance. His films include Jump London, The Pilgrimage of Gilbert & George and Nick Cave’s Veiled World, alongside a substantial body of music documentaries. These include Suede: The Insatiable Ones, New Order: Decades and Hansa Studios: By The Wall 1976-90, as well as WHAM! 10 Days in China. His work is characterised by a strong authored approach to archive, performance and cultural history, often looking beyond familiar narratives to find new ways into well-known subjects.
